guitars and analogue synths trying to make a soundtrack to a 70s polish

multi talented Dame Darcy captured live in london playing the banjo, saw,
and singing a bunch of 1800's folk songs alongside some of her own stuff.

while you weren’t looking. if only you could witness the strenuous combination
of euphoria and mute agony on the grimaced face of mr. david ewan campbell
as he slams his bare fists into what remains of a once proud drumkit. if
you could feel the intense writhing hurt of
mr. andrew clare as every fret movement he makes jarrs his now destroyed
hideous wreck of a left hand further and further into disrepair. If you
could smell the oily musk seeping from the
burgeoning pores of the once youthful jon slade juxtaposed against the life
affirming new born baby aroma of the fresh faced samuel dook you would become
all too aware of the mass contradiction and struggle inherent within this
band. As it is -- merely sitting within a 5 meter radius of this record
EVEN WHILST STILL IN ITS SLEEVE, let alone playing it, you will become very
aware in a very physical sense of all of these factors and their implications.
